Retired members, members in Partial Practice (less than 20 hours per
week), or members who find themselves in economic hardship situations,
should contact the NHOA Treasurer about dues schedules.
We know that some members prefer to pay their dues in equal monthly
or quarterly
installments by credit card, and we welcome that form of payment. To
make it even easier for you, we have a secure system in place for
automatic yearly, quarterly or monthly dues payments by credit card.
If you wish to take advantage of this convenient way of paying your
dues (and your CE fees), you need to call (603-964-2885) or write (466
Washington Road, Rye NH 03870) the NHOA and give us your credit card
number which will be kept on file (securely!) with NHOA. We will need to
know if you wish to make your payments monthly, quarterly, or as one
lump-sum payment. We will also be able to use the credit card number
when you register for CE meetings. This plan is voluntary and you can go
back to paying by check at any time simply by notifying us.
According to the NHOA By-Laws, dues are payable as follows:
“Dues shall be paid in a timely manner. Dues may be paid
in a lump sum or in regular monthly or quarterly installments.
Unless prior arrangements are made which are satisfactory to the
Treasurer, a member's dues shall be considered in arrears:
- if at least one-quarter of the annual dues have not been
received by the Treasurer by April 30, or
- if at least one-half of the annual dues have not been received
by the Treasurer by July 31, or
- if at least three-quarters of the annual dues have not been
received by the Treasurer by October 31, or
- if the annual dues have not been received by the Treasurer by
December 31.”
Again, thanks for your continued membership and support of organized
optometry. Our profession will grow and prosper with the support of all
optometrists!
